Hey everyone, hope you’re all well as per usual! Wonder if some of you reading this might’ve had some snow in the last day or two? Temperature’s been dropping but nothing as yet here in Treforest, which is a shame! It’s a well known fact that if it snows here in the valleys then the lecturers can’t get in and so lectures get cancelled pretty easily 🙂 I sure could use an extra day for coursework and that though! I’ve just managed to finish 2 this weekend, but been given 1 more so that means my coursework balance is now on 4.. Don’t worry though, I’m sure most of you wont have quite as much work as this!
It is actually a great feeling though when after weeks of working on it, you finally hand it in and relax a bit! Unfortunately apart from lectures, coursework and hockey, I really haven’t actually done that much else this week! Although that’s not entirely true..I did an application for an internship…in France! Always wanted to work abroad somewhere in Europe so I’ve taken a chance and I will have to wait and see how that turns out 🙂 Thanks to anyone who decided to go and have a read up on the world record attempt I’m part of by the way, it’s great to have people interested in it! No doubt a lot of you will be at the stage for handing in personal statements right now, or possibly even getting offers if you handed it in early. Congratulations to you all – it must be a great relief to have that sent off and now you can wait for the Uni’s to do their part and make their decisions! Have a bit of a breather, but then don’t forget – the time between now and your main exams in May/June time is critical; it really could make all the difference. So try and use the occasional hour here or there to do some revision notes or similar – help yourself out. It’s a small sacrifice and in just months from now it will all be over! One of the best feelings is escaping school and starting out as a Uni fresher with all that freedom!
Now that most of you are making applications, follow this link here to see info and advice from Glam about interviews, open days for 2013, and other useful bits and bobs: http://www.glam.ac.uk/apply/open-days/undergraduate
